Guest posting is all the rage across the blogosphere these days. Getting you name out in front of hundreds, even thousands of loyal readers is a big deal especially if you want to be famous or want to get your story out to the masses. and if it can help you jump start your own web presence, why not take advantage of such a wonderful opportunity. Heck, i’ve done it! and if you’re looking to be seen, it is a great way to do it.

But if you’re blogging to make money, then don’t even think of wasting your time guest blogging. It serves no purpose for those of us looking to build long term residual income from blogging. You’d be much better off to spend your time researching some keyword to find that Targeted Organic Traffic and driving them to your sales page. Take the time and the effort require to put together that wonderful guest post and write five or ten or twenty ok posts as fodder for your sites.

Again, as with all our efforts, you have to look at why you are doing what you are doing when you evaluate whethere it will be a good idea or not.
